Phishing is a type of cyber-attack in which malicious organizations or individuals try to trick you into exposing sensitive personal information like login IDs and passwords. The data is then used to gain access to the user account(s), which could lead to identity theft or financial damage.<\/span><\/p>\r\n Safeguarding yourself<\/b><\/p>\r\n Prevention is the first step toward safety. That’s why we’ve put various measures in place to alert you about any potential phishing.<\/span><\/p>\r\n Here are some pointers to help you recognize phishing scams:<\/b><\/p>\r\n Don’t be deceived by the use of the word “urgent.”<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n Be aware of terms like ‘urgent action necessary’ or ‘your account will be canceled’ that ask for help and\/or instill fear, anxiety, or interest. This is most likely a phishing scam designed to obtain your personal information.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n Keep an eye out for Fraudulent domains.<\/b><\/p>\r\n Check the browser link address. ZYM e-bill, ZYM bill, ZYM Refund, ZYM Customer Service, staywithus etc.) and email addresses are one of the most frequent tricks in email and SMS spoofing.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n Our email addresses shall always contain “@zym.sg”. To be extra cautious checking every component of an email as its whole is the best approach to determine if it is real (e. display name, email address, URL links, email tonality, spelling errors).<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n Avoid opening attachments<\/b><\/p>\r\n You could infect your computer with malware, virus, spyware, or ransomware if you click an attachment from a phishing ema These harmful applications often operate invisibly, so you could be e unaware of their presence. As a general guideline, only open attachments if you expect them and if they are related to your current task. However, you are reminded again that our email addresses shall always contain \u201c@zym.sg\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n When receiving calls with the prefixes ‘+’ and ‘+65,’ think twice.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n If you receive any suspicious unwanted phone calls or automated voice messages with “+65, hang up right away, and never share any sensitive information or passwords with unknown callers.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n No link shorteners<\/b><\/p>\r\n ZYM Mobile does not use Bly or any other link shortener in any of ZYM Mobile\u2019s communication platforms, which includes SMS and our social media platforms. Do make sure the official domain and subdomain are from ZYM Mobile when verifying URL linkages.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n Consider your options before scanning that QR code.<\/b><\/p>\r\n QR codes, which can be found in emails, brochures, posters, and other materials, have been used in recent scams. Scanning a fake QR code will not harm your device, but it will direct you to a rogue website that will ask for your bank account, credit card number, or other personal or confidential information<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n Request for confidential information should be refused.<\/b><\/p>\r\n We will never request sensitive personal information, debit\/credit card information, passwords, or account validation via email or SMS.
